How we handle your data.
Obscura is a Zang Inc company. This page covers the two forms on this site: the project request and the freelancer application.
What we collect
- Project requests: your name, email, optional company and Discord name, the project description, roles, budget, date and priority you chose.
- Freelancer applications: your name, email, country, time zone, optional Discord name, the roles and self-ratings you chose, weekly hours, hourly rate, portfolio links, the AI tools you mention, anything else you write, and whether you're open to full-time offers.
- Technical: your IP address is used briefly to stop spam (rate limits). It isn't stored with your submission.
Why
Only to answer your request or review your application, and to run the projects you take part in. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Where it's kept, and who sees it
Submissions are stored on our own server in Canada. A short notice of each new submission is posted to a private channel used by the Obscura team. Only people reviewing requests and applications can see them.
How long
For as long as we're working together, and up to two years after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep something longer (for example, payment records).
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Email obscura@zanginc.net and we'll reply within 30 days.
