Your time
--:--:--

Everything falls into place.

Obscura pulls a small team of verified people around your project and your budget, runs it with a project manager, and sends back finished work.

Past the horizon

One team. One plan. One direction.

You tell us what you need made. We design the team, price it in the open, and manage it to the last file. You never hire, chase or replace anyone.

Fields: game, video, design, web, 3D and automation.

01The pull

You bringthree things.

That's enough for us to start. A finished brief isn't needed: scoping is our job.

01 / 03
Idea

What you want made, in your own words. Links and references help.

02 / 03
Budget

What you can spend. You see what it buys before you commit, and hear plainly when it doesn't fit.

03 / 03
Date

When you need it. Under seven days is a rush and costs 25% more, so nobody works nights to make it.

02Lensing

Gravity bends lightinto focus.

That's the job. Take something scattered and make it sharp: first the idea, then the team, then the result. Move the slider.

Sharp on one plane.
Soft everywhere else.
03Orbit

We design the team, then price it.

Every role has a tier and a rate. Every price comes from one rule, and you can try it here.

Production-ready on complex work with little review.

Rare skills (VFX, character art) cost a little more; simple ones a little less. The estimator also shows three team options against your budget: best quality, balanced and budget.

S
Leads

Sets the style or the architecture, takes the hardest parts, reviews the others.

04Event horizon

Once it's in,it only goes forward.

When the deposit clears, a project manager owns the work to the last file. You see every step and pay as work arrives.

  1. 01T+0 · Event horizon

    Deposit

Half up front, all of it under $1,000. Work starts when it clears. From here, it only goes forward.

  2. 02T+1

    First milestone

Real work, early. Wrong turns show on day five, not day twenty.

  3. 03T+2

    Second milestone

You review. Revision rounds are agreed up front, and every change is priced before anyone touches it.

  4. 04T+3

    Preview

The finished work, watermarked. A person has signed it off.

  5. 05T+4

    Final payment

When you're happy with the preview.

  6. 06T+5

    Files

Every file, and the ownership, are yours. Nothing leaves unfinished.

If someone drops out
Every role has a backup.

They step in with every file in hand. That's our problem, never yours.

If the idea grows
Change orders, priced first.

New ideas are welcome. Each one is priced and approved by you before anyone touches it. No surprise invoices.

Before it reaches you
A person signs it off.

People may use AI tools. A person reviews and signs off everything you receive.

If it can't be done
We say so first.

If the budget can't produce the scope, you hear it before you pay, with what the budget can produce.

Want to keep someone? Hire them.

Worked with someone through Obscura and want them on your team for good? Hire them. The fee is a share of their first-year pay, and it falls the longer you've worked together. They have to want it too.

06For freelancers

Keep your rate.Set your hours.

Artists, developers, editors and producers. Get verified once, then get invited to paid work at your tier.

Fees
None. Ever.

Applying and quoting are free. Obscura never takes a cut of your rate: clients pay for Obscura, you don't.

Verification
Show real work once.

Finished pieces plus wireframes or source files. A senior reviewer gives you a tier for each role.

Hours
Your cap is a hard limit.

You set your weekly hours. Nobody can assign past them, and you can turn down any task.

Quotes
Two or three invited.

Not fifty strangers. Sealed quotes, with a price floor per tier, so nobody races to the bottom.

Pay
Paid per milestone.

Within seven days of the client's payment clearing. You know the date before you start.

Later
It can become a job.

A client can hire you full-time if you both want it. You never pay for that.
